  1. i think its because of osmosis,,,,,,

    the density  below the flower is high..

    i have doubt...not sure


  2. Its because of osmosis of water.

    A plant is mainly supported by the xylem and phloem but a great deal of support is also done by water. It provides hydrostatic pressure and helps to support plant structures including flower heads.

    By immersing the plant in salt water, water moves out of the plant by osmosis i.e. from the more dilute cells into the salt solution. Therefore the plants looses a lot of water. Loss of water consequently weakens support of plant structures. If the plant is left long enough in the salt solution, it will eventually start dropping off parts and wilt.
