  1. I think it was their way of appeasing the gods, in order that the Aztecs (I'm not so sure about the Incas) would have plentiful harvests, achieve victory in battle, and other auspicious things. It was something about the sacred nature of blood that led them to human sacrifice.


  2. sacrafice was the greatest reward to their Gods. they felt blood needed to be spilt in order for the Gods to be pleased with them.

    spilling blood and giving them souls was a good way to have luck and fortune in their lives.

    my ancestors were actecs.

  3. someone came up with the idea of sacrificing someone they didn't like to end a drought or a bad harvest, then seasons changed and low and behold the crops started looking better, they must have associated sacrificing life to their gods who would then give the land a new life

  4. hello,,I believe it was the spirit they offered , and by spilling the blood of the victim only sealed the prayer.
