I have seen reports in the newspapers, where people have been killed in cars and the inquest just takes a few months! or are we just the commoners?

  1. Mainly due to the repeated allegations of Mohamed Fayed, the father of Dodi Fayed, against various members of the British government, British intelligence, and (most absurdly) members of the Royal Family, specifically the Duke of Edinburgh. There have also been many conspiracy theories over the years, which have been repeatedly dug up by the media.

At the inquest into the deaths, the coroner stated: "The conspiracy theory advanced by Mohamed Fayed has been minutely examined and shown to be without any substance".

It was finally ruled by a jury that Diana had been unlawfully killed by the grossly negligent driving of chauffeur Henri Paul and paparazzi photographers.

P.S. Diana's title was not "Lady". Not since 1981, when she married the Prince of Wales and became HRH The Princess of Wales. She was latterly (after her divorce) known as "Diana, Princess of Wales".
