Why did the liberal media look like they just got kicked in the nuts after Palin gave her speech?

Palin didn't say much about what kind of policies she and McCain will offer. It was all trash talk. It makes good TV and that was about it. That's why media loved it. No substance and lot of trash talk.

I don't know about media hating it,  all I see is articles like

and etc etc. She had some favorable reviews by analysts. As one analyst from PBS puts it; she made good speech, but had 'some policy holes'.

It was laughable because he didn't have any substance. They gave the impression of "kicked in the nuts" because they couldn't add or subtract any kind of political dialogue from her speech.

Hence the "it was an impressive speech."

Bland and indirect, just the way to paraphrase this rookie's speech.

Because most of them, like me, wanted to put our nuts in her shoe and let her step forward and back, orwondered who the first guy she kicked in the balls was, and sunk our fingers into our Lay-Z-Boys every time we saw that H.O.T. daughter and wished she'd kick and stomp our balls.

She gave no plans as how to deal the economy, health care, the war in Iraq, education, gas prices, etc.  The speech was written by speech writer with no substance.  Must have been from old Republican convention of years past.
