Why did the media release a photo of the Greyhound bus victim but not the attacker?

Tim McLean, 22, was a victim of a stabbing in a Greyhound bus. Tim McLean was decapitated. He was Tim McLean Jr., from Winnipeg. Police have charged Vince Weiguang Li, 40, of Edmonton, with second degree murder. He will appear in the Manitoba Provincial court in Portage la Prairie.

I am shocked that they've accused him of 'second' degree murder. This man was carrying a hunting knife for what purpose other then committing a crime! and after the break he changed seat to sit next to this young man, who was a smaller man then him and who was sitting in the back............I call that 'a plan'!!!

I am still shocked and a little teary from reading this. Even I never even heard of this man in my life I am still saddened by his death.

They do have a photo of the attacker on yahoo news. But this was a horrible act and the victims family must be going through so much,god bless them and the boy, and lets all hope that this piece of psycohtic c**p burns, and to be honest i dont think he was crazy at all because if you read the court report he was exercising his right not to speak, he knew excactly what he was doing and lets all hope he goes down for it.

Normal procedure.Until they are really sure the accused man is the one who did it, they don't usually release a photo.
