Question:

Why did the police officer do what I saw him do?

This was in a huge parking lot for a big store. The car was parked in the back with some other cars. A police car drives up. The cop gets out and opens the trunk of one of the cars. He throws something inside, and slams the trunk shut. He gets back in his car and speeds off.

What just happened?

  1. i agree with the other guy. probably something for his wife like the kids socker shoes or something. No biggy!

  2. Who knows.  There was not enough information..  Maybe that was his wife's car and he dropped something off....

  3. It was a drug deal.

  4. Let's see, he could have dropped off something his wife, child, mother, father, niece, nephew, friend needed.

Then he went back to work.

Those who think it was something illegal or immoral have guilty minds.

  5. same reason anyone else would do something similar. delivered his wife's lunch, etc. If you are wondering if something shady happened, unlikely.

  6. Drug Dealer cop!?!

  7. lmfao dude - that's what we call a corrupt/drug dealer cop - if he saw you watching him - he'd probably get real defensive and try and book you - watch out!

  8. Since the cop had the means of opening the cars trunk, with either a key or remote, it is probably his wife's car or someone who has given him permission to open the trunk.

He probably put something he bought, or picked up a repair shop, or some such thing in the car to be taken home.

Since cops work when places like repair shops and most stores are open, most departments allow a minimal amount of time to take care of personal business, or allow cops to use their lunch / coffee breaks for personal business.

  9. Only he knows, as long as it is not my car, I don't care.

  10. Maybe you witnessed an undercover contacting the uniformed officer before a raid.

  11. Why do you care?  Get a life.

  12. Hard to say what the cop was doing but I would not assume that it was his wife's car.

  13. He dropped off something in his wifes/girlfriend/fathers (insert family/friend name here) trunk.

Whats wrong with that I ask you?

  14. Lot's of supposition going on here. And people wonder why police dont trust them? Many of you have already said a crime was being committed. Where is the proof. You demand proof of the police!

Cops can't get by with that kind of c**p in court but I guess the public can insinuate anything and get by with it. ( until they testify).

Now you can see why there is a huge divide and distrust between what is supposed to be a common goal and what the reality is.
