Question:

Why did the post office/mailman write "red" on my package?

Yesterday, August 21st, I received a package --a book-- from a fellow PaperbackSwap member. Either the mailman or the post office had written "RED" on the package, and a date (8/20/08) below.

What does it mean? Does the "RED" stand for "redelivered" or something like that? I'm just curious, especially since I recently received another PBS package that had a few cents of postage due. I wonder if it could be a similar issue.

(By the way, I very rarely see the mailman when he comes, so I cannot ask him.)

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!

  1. its a great song by,motograter.

  2. I'm not really sure, but your package shouldn't have had any writing on it other than what you were expecting. Maybe someone wrote "READ" and the "A" was faded? I would ask the post office why that was on the package just to be safe.

  3. Redelivered
