the convention is actually on a time schedule so news stations and other stations can show the important parts at specific times of the night. The convention actually went over its slotted time by a few minutes with all the speeches. THey decided to scrap the video and not go further into the other program slotted times

Unlike the Biden nomination, McCain probably did not finalize his VP pick until last week. They've were writing, filming and directing Bidens for months. They didn't have enough time to put one together for her.

It would have been nice to see it, but there wasn't enough time because the first day of the convention was lost. Even without the video her speech still ran 10 mins longer than it was supposed to.
