Wasn't MLK Jr a womanizing hypocrite?  Yeah, I judged him by the content of his character instead of the color of his skin - guess what, his character was lacking...

Well, I didn't see it, but maybe because Arnold is a movie star and they've seen his movies.  MLK died 40 years ago.  It's quite likely many at that convention have no personal memory of the man as they weren't born or were just kids.

I'll give you a couple guesses, but I don't think you'll need more than one.  I don't think they even knew who Rosa Parks was...at least a few feigned a clap for MLK...dead silence for Rosa.

I think it's mostly because they were clapping for Republicans and didn't know what to do when these icons came up.  Beyond that, I don't think we have to speculate...you could hear them thinking "what'd they do for us?"
