  1. They were unconstitutional.

  2. The majority of the judges on the court were appointed by one of the three Republican Presidents that succeeded Woodrow Wilson - Harding, Coolidge and Hoover. The power to appoint judges of the Supreme Court is the closest Presidents can come to being hereditary monarchs. Their will lives after them.

In Canada, we had Pierre Trudeau, who not only appointed the court but masterminded the Constitution that they ruled on. As a result, we still live in the realm of King Pierre.

  3. To then it seemed foolish to have social security numbers because they never really understood why that needed to be a source of identification. They never really thought of more then a handful of people living beyond the age of 65. And...in 1983 people lived to be about 55-60..do 65 was a nice ripe old age. Can you imagine what it was in 1941?

And, Welfare...seemed pointless because people's pride was HIGH and they'd do ANYHING before they had to rely on ANYONE but themselves to make it.
