  1. I think they were assuming that if she were to wreck, it may injure the baby.  They have to make a story about something.

  2. Because the injuries can be severe if there was an accident and risks like that shouldn't be taken when you are carrying a baby.  Driving in the car is different it's transportation it's not just a leisure activity that can be put aside until the baby is born.  Then go back on the quad.

  3. there's taking risks and there's taking irresponsible risks.

    she was irresponsible.

you can't compare riding in a car to riding on a 4-wheeler.  for one, in a car you're protected by the car and by seat belts.  on an ATV, you're protected by nothing and statistically speaking, injuries are more common and more severe related to ATV accidents than car accidents.  if an ATV and a car hit a rock face, which driver is walking away, do you think?

there are times in your life when you have to set aside your own wants and desires for someone else - this is one of them.

  4. I think it's insane to ride a 4-wheeler while your pregnant... yes your baby is protected, but that doesn't mean go to the sand dunes and jerk yourself around for a while. The way I looked at it when I was pregnant was, would I do this WITH my baby... for instance would you strap your baby onto a 4-wheeler after it was here? I would hope not... so why would you go now? and no it's not as unsafe as riding in a car... for one people drive on PAVED ROADS, NOT SAND DUNES, or in my case where I live TRAILS, a paved road is a little different, when I'm in my car I'm not like oh this hills steep let me take my car up it, or hey lets see how fast we can go to jump this hill, so no dont even compare riding in a car to riding on a quad, I think it's stupid that you go, and I think it's stupid that Jamie lynn did it, for 9 months why dont you worry about the little thing growing in your body and not getting a thrill, you think I liked going to amusement parks pregnant and not riding anything? no I didn't, but I didn't do it because I didn't want to do anything to harm my child, you should feel the same way about yours
