  1. As far as we were concerned, it was a "europe problem" and did not involve us


  2. US didn't enter War until 1917because Roosevelt said usa should stay neutral in European Conflicts , but US was helping the allied powers.

Perhaps they stayed "neutral", yet, my Grandfather was a Vet of WWI- He had to hide for 3 days in a barn in France, keeping safe from the enemies.....And, GOD BLESS HIS HEART, he came home alive- and, according to his stories of WWI, I feel very foolish for NOT listening to his stories of this era. May he R.I.P.
