  1. Well, it pretty much means there will be high winds and heavy rainfall.

This may cause floods. If there wasn't a specific tornado warning, they're not expecting one.

  2. The weatherman would say afew storms

    because it could be severe

    this is in the event

    to evacuate

On floods this means if it rains

it may come down in buckets

    causing leakage on the streets

    and in homes

floods occur when the excessive water has no where to go.

In a tornado this is a severe weather and violent

    they can do damage

They are in shapes of funnels that is between the earth

    and the clouds

  3. It means that some of the storms that form may turn severe. That very rarely means tornadoes and floods. The definition of severe means 30 mph winds or higher and small hail possible, and a lot of lightning. Really the only thing you have to worry about in severe thunderstorms is lightning.  They very rarely do damage, but there is always a chance of tornaodes and floods, but it is highly unlikely.  It also depends on where you live. Different areas experience different things.
