Why did the women's softball team loss their game?

cmon they have never lost untill now. are they going to get a gold medal?

No one stays invincible forever.  Japan pushed the U.S. to extra innings in Athens, so they clearly had the ability to beat them.  Maybe there were a lot of emotions going through the American players' heads too, being the last Olympics softball match for perhaps forever.

The women aren't the only ones to be completely undefeated...the men's 4x100 relay we've always won...

No, Japan got the gold medal. The US got the Silver.

They lost because Japan outplayed them when it counted. Unfortunate, but true.
