Why did they boo when Justin Timberlake announce Boston as the best team during the ESPY award?

I though it was funny when they booo Bostons for winning as the best team. Was their another team that is the best?

It waz in L.A., and Ray Allen said this line..."Another win in L.A.", Did u see how Derek Fisher looked at him?

The awards were held in L.A., and L.A. almost had a record breaking finals loss to the Celtics.

My guess is that it's because the ESPYs were held in Los Angeles, and the Lakers/Celtics rivalry is a classic sports rivalry.  Also, the Celtics obviously beat the Lakers, so that contributes to it.  Also, Doc Rivers, I think it was who accepted the award, started his acceptance speech with, "Another win in LA."

Cuz the awards are in LA...

and ny giants deserved it in my opinion because they beat an undefeated team in the most important game of the season!

I agree that it was because the Celtics won the championship against the Lakers.  My reason for answering this comment is Justin Timberlake.  Was he good or what.

There were times when we just couldn't stop laughing.  My husband can stop saying that he has no talent.

Way to go Timberlake!
