Because he is a very good player. Remember Michael Gardiner? he got the flick in a hurry, not Benny though.

Because he had never actually been caught before and had never tested positive to drug tests while he was playing.

He was the one who admitted the problem. If he had of been caught or tested positive it would have been another story, and his career might have ended sooner.

And now this will just be a blotch on the AFL, the Eagles,  the Drug testing policy ....... and another career that will fail in comparison to the controversy of his private life.

I'm just glad my sons still to young to realise whats going on in the game he loves.

Coz everyone deserves another chance. you all talk about role models to kids...shouldnt u teach them to ive people second chances. Im sure u hav all had or heard of a fight between friends or someone betraying trust or something. we have to give peple a second chance. He didnt use it - his problem.

garnder was caught many times he crashed a car drunk twice and was done for dd thats why he left he was given a second chance too

and cousins did test positive ahha they arent allowed to go publuc until a player test positive for the third time

the first time only the club docotor is told the second time the club is told the third time its released to the media

and to answer your questioin EVERYONE deserves a second chance!!!!!
