Was there a stratigical reason they sent Favre to the Jets? Is that where Favre wanted to go and is there a chance they can get to the Super Bowl? Or is it just a place for him to dwindle out his career?

  1. because, he kinda wanted to go to them, and there was really no other choice for him, because nobody really wanted him, because they already had a QB, or there roster's were full of player's

  2. Where have you been? under a rock? the Super Bowl is a possibility for any team. The Giants won it remember? or you didn't get that news flash either? Favre went there because no one else would give the packers a better trade not because he wanted to. Favre agreed to go there because there are some good players on that team, and no he gets to compete with he big boys and show them what he's made of. Watch out AFC there is a new sheriff in town!

  3. Fave wants to see how a real QB plays the game when the Jets play the Pats twice and both times get destroyed.  He will win as many Super Bowls with the Jets as he did the last 10 years with the Packers.

  4. that was the only team that gave the packers the best deal for favre, beside favre wanted to be a starter the only other team who wanted him was tampa bay and they have jeff garcia as starter.umm sure he can go to the playoff but superbowl at least not this year

  5. Favre just needs to realize that it is once and for all time to throw in the towel.

He had a good career, but really, it's time to take the final bow.

  6. He wanted to be with his friend Bubba Franks....?

    I don't frikkin know!

I hate Brett Favre... & now I hate the Jets too!!

    =P

  7. He went to the Jets as punishment from the Football Gods for putting his own ego ahead of the needs of his team. The Jets exist solely as a punishment for players. It's like Football Purgatory.

  8. The Packers did not want to send him to Chicago or Minnesota because they play them twice a year.  They even went as far as putting in the trade clause that if the Jets traded him to Minnesota then the Jets owed them 4 first round draft picks.  They also didn't really want to send him to another NFC team, which I feel is why the Jets beat out the Bucs in the Favre sweepstakes.  I really don't think Brett had any say in the matter because if he had it his way he probably would have ended up in Chicago or Minnesota. I don't see the Jets making the Super Bowl with having to get through teams like New England, Indianapolis and San Diego but I would go as far as saying they may be the 4th best team in the AFC with the addition of Favre and Faneca this off season.

  9. Cause the Jets play in the AFC and the Packers will not face the Jets this season. As for Favre, who knows? I'm just suprised he hasn't retired agsin while i was typing this

  10. Was probably best deal they could get-Jets will do well to get to 8-8 even with hm.i

  11. idk it stupid but long story short the Packers wanted to work on the future and not now, so they tried to trade him away. Farve wanted to go to the Vikings or Bears and the Packers said no.so he had the chose between the Bucs and the jets he wanted to go to the Bucs but the Jets offer a better trade they confidence him to go to the Jets.

  12. I don't know that much about sport but I think it's because he has been with the packer for too long. It really seem like he wanted to stay with them though because he was crying, but why not stay? maby money plays a part but he's already rich? I dunno. Lol!! It's always about money, but that's just my opinion please don't get angry at me.

Please help with my question. ;)

  13. I think his retirement decision hurt him.Green Bay didn't know he would change his mind so fast.He maybe made his managers feel they were left hanging. As a result he was picked up by the Jets.He will succeed with the Jets b/c they know they are getting a great leader.I think he can lead them to the next Super Bowl.Remember it's still a business, football.Brett Favre doesn't dwindle,he'll shine as long as he has his cannon. You stay faithfull to either Green Bay or Brett Favre.

  14. Of course there is.  TT is a GM genius.  It sucks to see Brett go, but it had to happen.  They need to see what Rodgers can do because he is in a contract year.  Brett retired and wavered on it, then decided to stay retired so they said that's it, Rodgers is the guy now, then Brett wanted back in.  I'm happy to see they kept their word to Rodgers.  Plus the Jets are in the AFC and we do not play them this year.

  15. They didn't want him in the NFC and the Jets were willing to give what the Packers wanted.
