Why did this happen to my computer?

Question

Ok so...the information bar was allways along the bottom of my computer and now all the sudden it is on the side?....I don't like it.

How do I get the information bar back on the bottom?

first right click on the information bar and see if there is a check mark next to the "lock the task bar" if there is a check mark click it if there isn't disregard this step

now just click the center of the bar and drag it back over and down

edit: if its making it bigger try clicking in the middle of it instead of clicking the edge

sometime it happen by mistake.

1-right click on it ( it is called task bar not information bar)

2-if you find a sign beside "lock the taskbar"  click on it to unlock it.

3- now you can move in ti the bottom again by click and dragging it to the bottom.

repeat the steps 1-2 again but this time to lock the taskbar in the new position so it  will not move by mistake.

Peanut B was right, I'm guessing you dragged the right hand side of the bar further right.  What you need to do is click on the taskbar towards the side of the screen.  Make sure it's just a regular mouse pointer, not the two way arrows.  Then you can click & drag your mouse to any side of the screen to set the location.

If you want to prevent this from happening in the future, you can lock the taskbar.  Once you have it where you want it, right click a blank part and check the "Lock the Taskbar" option.
