Why did this proud military veteran end up like this?

Here's my problem with this guy.  Why after 17 years did he separate.  All it would have taken was 3 more years for him to qualify for retirement benefits.   He ended up like he did because he made bad choices.  No other reason.

It's interesting he couldn't get a job until he got into trouble.Now that he's trying to impress the court,all of a sudden he's working hard at a shipyard.He was convicted of being involved in the drug trade.That is all the court should consider when sentencing him.His prior military service is not an escape clause for criminal conduct.

Just because he's military doesn't mean he's perfect, y'know.

Why did he do it? Because he clearly has a disturbed and criminal mind. The fact that he's a war veteran is irrelevant. I suppose you're one of those people who thinks anyone who's military should be given special rights and be exempt from the law.

I know its hard... I can't get a job no matter how hard I've tried and I have honorable on my DD214, people don't care about veterans anymore... or should I say again. Our own government doesn't care either. that solider had to feed his family, he did what he had to, a judge made a mistake and now they wont let the judge take it back... its all a bit messy if you ask me
