Why did vampires and werewolves (not to mention other mythological, folkloric creatures go to the dumps?

Did anyone else notice how vampires are no longer life-struggling, life-hating suicidal blood-drinkers, and now they're nothing more than teenagers in high school that have to resist the temptation of sucking the blood of their girlfriend or something? And werewolves are nothing more than teenage boys with testosterone problems. I am just wondering HOW pop culture has ****** up so much and no one seems to notice it but me. I mean, I see these... manga and anime **** that have demons as nothing but hunky guys with five-foot long hair and a sword five times the length of their body, or some busty w***e who likes to seduce guys before she kills them with a poisonous kiss or something. And like movies these days, like 30 Days of Night. What the h**l? Does no one notice that an entire town is practically dead? Does no one have relatives there? Sigh. This is ridiculous.

How and why did all of this happen, and where did all of the REAL vampire, werewolf, demon, etc. stories go?

demons are more scary anyway. get a ouija board and ask a demon to show a vampire then ask to showhimself. youll c**p yourpants guaranteed.

I was wondering the same thing especially about demon animes.They all have huge swords like thats the only weapon to ever exist.

I think the thing is they think youth sells and s*x sells better.So the two together will create magic.THEY'RE WRONG OBVIOUSLY.

Because so far the vampire shows on tv get canceled after 1 or 2 seasons.I don't know how the animes do but i'm pretty sure ppl will get sick of all of them looking the same.

They just forgot how to make classic horror stories.

They went the same way as horses and carts. The problem is, that these days, proper vampire stories are not in demand. There are still some good stories, but most of the ones i've found are from eastern europe.

Try reading The Last Wish by Andrzej Sapkowski.

well a "busty w***e who likes to seduce guys then kill them with a posionous kiss" is a succubus sort of...as for the 5 food hair and sword i dont know, thats how all animes are, some use the premise of demons, others just say there humans.
