Why did voters cast 76% of ballots for Hillary+Obama compared to those cast for McCain, Romney, and Huckabee?

    Everyone wants change so they

    figure democrat is the way to go !


  2. - Some states are Democratic strongholds.

    - Democrats may be more energized by their race than Republicans are.

    - In at least one state - California - Independents were allowed to vote in the Democrat primary, but could not opt to vote in the Republican primary.

  3. The democrats are pretty revved up about choosing the candidate they want to represent them. Emotions are high for/against Hiliary and a lot of dems went out and voted.

    On the Rep. side, let's face it, it's going to be McCain, but a vast majority of voters who normally vote conservative/republican are not turned on by the prospect of a McCain presidency.

    That probably partially explains the difference in numbers between the two parties
