the brits need to chill and not take the thing so seriously, so what if your hated.  ireland made sure they didnt win by using dustin the turkey which was a total p**s take anyway, its a pity the brits dont get RTE 2 then you could see dustin in all his glory and get the joke. ireland yeah! were stupid were hated were all alkys we all carry pigs under our arms and wear tatty jumpers and wellies do we care? like fuc'k we do!

Because of the Eastern Block . We should be allowed to enter separately as Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and England.

I personally can't understand why the people that have answered you with the political aspect have been TD'd,as what they said is true!it doesn't matter what we enter we will be put down as we are THE joke of everywhere,and no-one is bothered about keeping our friendship!The whole FARCE of the eurovision is that Terry Wogan can tell you who will win and lose before it even starts :-)

The three "voting blocks" of the Balkans, Eastern European countries and Scandinavia is the main reason but it would help if the UK actually picked a decent song.

i agree with melia, it's no longer about the songs, it's about politics and the world wars and neighbouring countries wanting to keep friendships. god, what is this coming to? in the 60s or 70s Cliff Richard did a great one, but Spain won because of Franco's power.

Well you may think I'm crazy but I remember perfectly the first time we came last and it was the Eurovision after the invasion of Iraq. Maybe the rest of the world just doesn't like us - mind you, I'm fascinated to see which countries fall into the title of 'EUROvision' - I think we should stop entering, certainly should stop televising it.

Anything that's confined to British-only participation will fail. Manchester United and the other Top PL clubs do well because of foreign players and managers/staff. Can you think of any other sport, event, invention, that the Bitish excell in internationally?

it is all voted by politics and neighbouring countries vote for each other, not about the song anymore

We are still in Iraq. It doesn't matter how good the song is, we'll still get nil points from almost everyone.
