  1. Desperation ? If McCain can not win on issues, at least making farce of elections might create havoc and let McCain crawl to presidency on the belly as Bush did in 2000. That is Karl Rove's twisted logic.

  2. McCain wanted Lieberman.  The right wing of his party let him know that there would be a floor fight if this was his choice.  Meanwhile Rove was pushing for Romney who McCain does not personally like; and, McCain wanted to show his "independent" streak anyway.  So he chose Palin.

  3. Suck it up and BE TOUGH!!!....No matter WHO the VP pick was this was going to happen, unless it was the same ol Washington insider like Biden..then the libs would just be yawning and dreaming of their November win....but this gutsy gal is different...she has to courage to stand up against the insiders...she is someone who WILL make REAL change...and the dems are OUTRAGED!!!...she's hanging tough...so YOU HANG TOUGH!!!!...good grief, you're ready to throw in the towel and you have no idea just how she is going to help the ticket....

  4. Acire,

Personally, I think McCain shot himself in the foot when he picked Palin. Troopergate and the issue of her daughter aside, I would never vote for Palin for VP. Her entire experience consists of being Mayor of a town of 7500, and less than two years as the Governor of Alaska. However the Republicans want to spin it, this pick could be dangerous for our country. I also think that McCain's pick is blatant pandering to get the female vote. Women are smarter than that.

    Hope this helps. Good luck!

  5. I think it was a good choice on McCain's part. Palin is very conservative and a lifetime member of the NRA. I think she is the ace in the hole for McCain.

  6. "We" did not pick Palin. McCain did. So much for his judgment.

  7. For change

Obama picked Biden...he's an old coot that's been hanging around for 30 years...how is that a change?

  8. No, are you kidding? Do you know how many millions of families have been there done that...she and her husband have handled the situation well. I admire her even more.

  9. Who is we? Certainly brought Obamas lack of experience to the spotlight.

  10. I think just the opposite. First, with Senator Clinton advancing as far as she did, a large number of folk are excited about the US putting a woman in power. Second, I understand she is clearly anti-abortion - another strong issue - while McCain is blurry on that. I think if you got a candid comment from Sen. Obama, he would admit that McCain "trumps" Obama's choice. And as to the pregnant daughter issue, check the news - it's not a rarity. She will undoubtedly bring in a lot of the "Been there, done that, sister" votes.

  11. i never knew that the people got to pick president and vice president nothing is being handed over to anyone if anything people should identify with palin because she is real raising a real family with real problems

  12. I liked her alot, the daughter issue shouldn't be one at all but the sicko's that have no ammo to use against McCain are taking the low road and going after our vp just to keep attention off of barack hussein obama and his full closet.

    AYERS, DOMESTIC TERRORIST

WRIGHT, RACIST ANTI AMERICAN AND OSAMAS PASTOR OF 20 YRS.

RESKO, CONVICTED FELON AND TOP OBAMA ADVISER / CONTRIBUTOR EARLY ON.

FARAHKAN, NATION OF ISLAM LEADER WITH ANTI-AMERICAN SENTIMENTS AS FUND RAISER FOR OSAMA.

    ENDORSMENT OF HAMMAS.

    LUDICRIS, ANOTHER RACIST FUNDRAISER.

WIFE MICHELLE, STRONG RACIST BELIEFS AND MANY STATMENTS AGAINST WHITE AMERICANS.

I could go on but my fingers get tired.

  13. She is a reg. woman. Its like having your mom run for V.P., she is white, and a woman. Will see after the Republican national convention

  14. Because people was stupid enough to think democratic women would vote for a republican women who believes

Doesn’t believe in a women’s right to choose

Doesn’t believe in equal pay for women (which is stupid)

Doesn’t believe in condoms and contraception

Believes that ak47 should be in the hands of anybody who want them

They would over look the fact that she has scandals over her head.

That people would be dumb enough to believe she is qualified, just because Fox news and Fox radio Ok'ed her.

  15. What? Picking Palin "handed this" to McCain!

  16. why because she's a woman?? you didn't pick her, neither did Mccain, the republican party told him to

  17. idk.  but it does look as though McCain may have really screwed this one up.

  18. Obama is on the ropes and the Palin choice was masterful. She is a confirmed conservative and she is a woman. Nominating a woman takes some of the steam out of the minority nomination by the Democratic Party. Nominating a conservative helps shore up the errant elements in the Republican Party base. Democrats are beside themselves over this nomination and they are worried. This is evidenced by how quickly they rolled out the big guns over the weekend to try and discredit her as rapidly as possible. Do not believe the media hype on this because it will prove to be wrong. It should be really interesting to see what happens with poll numbers this week as America is introduce to Palin at the Republican Convention.

  19. We didn't....  at what point did John McCain call and ask for your opinion.

Even my 14 year old son understood that.
