Why did we start daylight saving time early?

  1. It should save some energy because we have an extra hour daylight which means we do not need to turn on as many lights.  I don't see how anyone could know whether it was successful or not since it only started one month ago.


  2. Because politicians needed to appear environmentally concerned without doing anything that might upset their major contributors.

  3. politicans decided to become enviornmentally friendly. its because in america ppl. always leave the light and ac's on in workplace, n go home n have them on at home as well.

    so in order to save energy they started it early b/c then most ppl. turn off their lights before they go to work, and in thus using the energy only at work place.

    its not going to make a huge diffrence, that all the problems that have accumulated in past 50 years or so will be solved, but it makes a little difference.
