I picked Kasey in 2005, because i loved the look of his car, my fave # is 9 and i like his name, it just has a certain ring to it!! I like his team, and i love his new sponsor...Go BUD!!

MARTIN TRUEX JR. ROCKS!!!!  i chose him cuz  he has an awesome sponsor and he seems like a pretty nice dude.  

I like Ryan Newman also, cuz he seems like a pretty nice guy too and he has alot of experience.

i agree with u on truex but burton is my driver. He's nice, yet agressive and very honorable, if he knows he needs to move, he moves, but hes also a good driver, hes in the top three in point standings right now, and hes low profile too and i loved cingular, the little ink dude on his car was nicknamed Blobby by me but now things have changed and his car sucks cause the sponsor won't give enough money and i love rcr, the whole team's not doin too bad this season

LOL well... when you get right down too it the reason I picked my driver was basically because my brother said he hated him. I also liked his car and thought it looked cool. I was 12 give me a break lol.

But it wasn't just that, after I really started to get into racing and had a chance to learn more about each driver I decided I still liked Harvick the best. I love his personality and his driving style. I'm also very happy with his teammates and the team he is with.

i have so many favorites but my absolute favorites are:

Dale Jr., i love him for his driving and personality, i chose him in 2003 i didnt like the team because of jeff and jimmie but now i am fine with it and i think the sponsor is okay

and

Tony stewart, i love his bad boy attitude and his amazing racing sort of like dale sr. (who i loved), no i hate his team because kyle busch is on his team and i love home depot

I have had several favorite drivers in the 5 years I have followed NASCAR

In 2003, i started following about halfway in the season, and My favorite driver that season I guess was Jeff Gordon because he won the first postponed race that I ever followed. I didn't like his sponsor but that's not what matters.

In 2004, my favorite driver was Jeff Gordon and Dale Jr. but after Dale Jr. was in that accident in the LeMans series, Jeff Gordon became my favorite. I liked him because he won 4 poles in a row! Then my favorite became Dale Jr. after he swept Bristol in August. When Jr. was burned at LeMans, that wasn't the only time i hated him. I didn't like him in 2003 until Phoinex. My favorite in 2005 was Greg Biffle, because he won 6 races. In 2006 my favorite driver was Kasey Kahne, because he BEAT JIMMIE JOHNSON AT LOWES! And he won 6 races. But after Tony Stewart won at Atlanta and Texas he became my favorite. Last year my favorite was Jeff Gordon because he was in the lead for a long time until the STUPID CHASE SYSTEM STARTED! That is why he lost the championship! Now my favorite driver is Kyle Busch. I do like Joe Gibbs Racing, I love M&M'S and Snickers.

No, seriously I like him because he is honest and races clean. He is fun to watch, and I love to watch the people who dislike him get mad when he takes the lead. But his moronic fans who throw c**p ought to be hung by the lugnuts.

I chose Jr in 98 when he was in the Bush series

I like the team now, I honestly don't like Gordon or Johnson, but my son likes Gordon and I respect that. Plus he is growing on me.

Sure I like his sponsors I love AMP but I would never join the National Guard. But I'll support them

Jeff Gordon is my all time favorite, but I can't help but like Kyle Busch either...both for many of the same reasons.

How did I choose Gordon? Not sure what you mean by that

Why? Because I went to the Bristol race in 1998, I was only 10 years old. Jeff Gordon came out, and it seemed like everybody booed him. Well, I didn't really like him either, but I wondered why so many people were booing him for no reason. Then he went on to win that race, and I was like, well, I don't get it. Jeff Gordon is a great driver and people boo him, but he's sitting in victory lane at the end of the day. So at that point I started paying attention to him more, and seen that people booed him for no reason, so I started liking him more and more. I figured out that people only booed him, because he was so talented and could drive a car like he stole it. And I've cheered for him ever since.

Do I like the team he is on? Last year Hendrick was my favorite team until they brought Jr. in and gave Kyle the boot. I thought that was pretty low of Rick. He is too money hungry, and has even been involved in a lawsuit over it before. I only like Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson at Hendrick now. I like all the drivers on Joe Gibbs Racing, though and they all have a lot of talent, and are young drivers (except for Stewart, and he's leaving)

Do I like his sponsor? Sure, he has an awesome paint scheme. I also like Kyle Busch's M&M sponsor. I don't really pay attention to the sponsors, though.

I chose my favorite driver because I liked what his car looked like, when I started watching NASCAR I think I was about 8 years old. I really like the team that greg biffle is on and he does get quite a few pretty good sponsers.

i think in 1999 i got out of bed turned on the tv and it was the last 2 laps so i watched it ( i tend to sleep late or mabey i was naping who knows) but mark martin won so ever scince ive liked him i like his sposer but i dont pay attention to his team nxt year his team i like tho except jr and jimy and also after the race there was a comertial with him winning the race  while driving backward i thought that was cool

I became a fan when my grandson went on his Make a Wish trip to Fontana. Actually, it was about a year and a half ago that I started watching. They are Jeff Gordon fans, and they met him this Feb in Fontana when Carl Edwards won.

I seem to really like the 99 but don't say much because I love my grandkids more! They are die hard Gordon fans, and the 9 year old is Kasey Kahne fan.

I needed a favorite driver, I didn't have one between the death of Dale Sr. and Kyle. It was time.

I wanted a driver who had spirit, and spunk.

I had zoned in on 3 or 4 drivers (Kyle being one of them)

I picked him after seeing him interviewed, he had the fire I was looking for.

I like the team he's on.

I picked him as my first driver in 2002 for no reason really but experimented with other drivers. I woke up one morning in '05 and picked him out of nowhere. Went down to the computer to check the lineup and low-and-behold, he was on the pole for the Brickyard 400. I am a fan for life now. I like his team and think that in a few months, he will be a consistent threat and I love his sponsors, electronics, tools, and fast food. That's all me.

I like Matt Kenseth.

I started liking Matt because he has a similar personality to me.  He's quiet and in the background most of the time.  Plus, I think he was perhaps the least respected champion of all time, or at least as long as I can remember.  He dominated all year, but nobody really seemed to think he deserved it for some reason.

Roush is okay I guess.  I'm not a big fan of the whole team apsect of racing.

Which one of his sponsors?  He has about 3 or 4 of them.  I really don't use power tools much, so I can't say if I like DeWalt or not.

OMG- this is so cool and when I tell people this- they love it!

As you can see- I am a HUGE Red Wings fan- I love hockey!  My husband likes NASCAR and he always likes to go to the MI June race.(Been going for years now)  So- to make it interesting, and to remember the drivers to the cars- I would call the cars after the Red Wings to their respecting numbers- it made it easier for me to remember who was driving what car.  Well- Chelios is my all time favorite player- and his number is 24- so I picked Jeff Gordon to be my favorite driver because he uses Chelis number.   So I root for Jeff Gordon, and it just so happens that he is really good at what he does...like Cheli and you either love him or hate him- like Cheli!

Because no one in my family thought he would be much of a Driver! Also for his first win he edged by Jimmie Johnson for his first win, which I will say kinda surprised me, and instead of doing a burn out he did his Backflip!!!

I was a SR fan.I  never cared for JR. I pulled for the 17 in busch series. I enjoyed the  Kenseth -Earnhardt rivalry although won by JR. That quickly changed at the cup level. Matt won rookie of the year, had the most wins and then dominated 2003  and won the cup. The chase was created because of him.JR fans are stil waiting.

I chose kenseth back in late 1999 when i heard he was coming to cup and would be driving for roush.  I love fords and i wanted a ford to pull for so i went with kenseth.  I have been a diehard fan ever since.
