Why did you write Macedonia, Former Yugoslav Republic, when Canada recognized Republic of Macedonia by this name. Please correct this!

I do not know what exactly you mean by "you". But people might use this explanation if they are not familiar with geography, or assume others would need this explanation. Sadly enough Yugoslavia as such existed for more than 40 years, and the generation of people who grow up knowing that country with that name never knew of Yugoslavia as Federation of independent republics and what are they.
