  1. Because Athletics Australia are idiots. Some athletes that ran A qualifiers didn't even get to go to the Olympics because of AA. If it was swimming they wouldn't have thought twice about it, even if Australia had no chance of winning.

  2. I was gonna ask the same question i think they didn't qualify or mabye they weren't sent 2 Beijing

  3. because athletics austrlia didn't think our team was good enough.

  4. You're clearly talking about athletics, not swimming. In which case the top 16 ranked countries in each relay event qualify for the Olympic Games. So in the women's 4x100m Australia was ranked 19th and did not qualify to send a team. In the men's 4x100m Australia ranked 14th and DID qualify, but Athletics Australia decided that by the time the Olympics came around we did not have enough athletes to make a competitive team, which is probably true - most of them are either injured, out of form, or in same cases just seem to be mental trainwrecks.

  5. They did. They won the silver behind the U.S team. Andrew Lauterstein, Amon Sullivan and 2 other guys were in the team medley..if thats what ur talking about..

  6. first of all do you mean swimming or track? well i didnt watch either but maybe in prelims they didnt qualify for the finals.

  7. I don't believe they sent a team in track this year.  I don't see it listed here
