Question:

Why didn't Bela Karoly complain when Nastia Liukin was given a 6.7 instead of a 6.6 balance beam start value?

A few nights ago, Nastia's balance beam routine was given a start value of 6.7 instead of a 6.6. Now THAT was unfairness, because the judges gave her a higher start value. Why didn't loud-mouth Bela Karoly or the NBC announcers complain about that????

  1. NBC is very bias.

If it's US gymnast, they say: "oops, a little off balance there"

If it's Chinese:   "oh wooh wooh....a possible big point deduction"

    US gymnast:   "almost"

    Chinese:    "visible error"

  2. How many things are people gonna complain about? It's over now. Nastia managed to get a medal. Time to move on

  3. Hi ,I am a Chinese student from Beijing .

I am so happy to see there are so many who like gymnastics as i am.

how to say, these days when i browsed the website , i saw a lot comments about the age and judges……

I want to tell you, when CCTV broadcasted the gymnastic competition, the host gave compliment to both liukin and other competitors, and a international famed judge of our contury who also is the host of the brodcast explained why he won gold while liukin didn‘t.

but when my classmate and I saw the NBC broadcast online, we feel so sad, i don't know why bela always thought if the US didn't win, then it is unfair.

here in China, the American team really have a lot fans.

shawn johnson is one of our favoriates.

    she had three silver.

there are even Chinese wish that she could get a gold on balance beem although we also want the Chinese girl to win too. really we like Shawn.

I really wish some of you guys could come to China , experience the real China,.For hosting this Olympics, China makes great effort, yet we know we can't make everyone satisfy, but just as the slogan says "One world One dream "Welcom!

by the way , the Chinese are not gold-oriented as some people here says

wish all the players get good score on the balance beem!

  4. Because Bela knows his BS can keep himself more jobs to come. He is paid to do those BS..

And in true he is a piece of c**p... if China paid him to do a job/an interview/ or the guest speaker; he 'd just favor the Chinese...

  5. She added in an extra piece just like Shawn Johnson added in her extra twist on the floor routine. I don't think it matters anyway when Nastia wins by .600 over Shawn.

  6. because, don't you see, he is highly selective and double applies double standard, depending on nationality and racial background. That's my impression by listening his comments. He is especially nasty against Chinese. He shows clear dislike and hostility against Chinese, does not even bother to hide a little so that he would appear a little more civilized. BTW, his action reminds me of a lot of Easter European Immigrants, who often show and display their sense of superiority against Asians. What's their basis for being so arrogant? We Chinese did contribute greatly to the ancient world civilization with lots of inventions, although I have to admit not too much lately. But East Europeans had NOTHING. They are lucky hat we are not arrogant to them already!

American, I mean true American (born and raised here, and no direct influence of East European attitudes) actually are quire decent, although people often talk about racism in USA.

I think East Europeans need to rethink about their attitudes. It makes themselves look BAD!

  7. Exactly!    Now im really one of the peole wishing that everyonewould forget about it and move on, but i just gotta say that the commentators on NBC are the worst , most annoying ,biggest *** holes, and most biased people ever. If the US doesnt do good then they complain, if they get better than they should, they dont say a word.

P.S. Im NOT referring to americans in general, just the NBC commentators

  8. he biased simple as that....
