Why didn't China compete in the Men's Vault (Gymnastics)?

Li Xiaopeng chose not to compete due to an injury but I'm surprised China didn't send someone else to take his place. Surely one of his teammates made the grade.

if you don't make it into the final 8, you don't get in so the next in line gets to compete in the even of injury or pulling out. team mates don't get to take your place.

idk but im guessing it was becuase the girls took so long and they train thier hole lives for it

The only thing is, his teammate is not at the same level as the others who made the final, and yes, they did choose not to do a 2nd vault during qualification which was required if you want to compete for vault final, i don't know who made the decision, but there are people who specialize in vaults, china maybe good overall, but not everyone is specialized in vault. knowing their chances (that the even if the next best vaulter qualified to the final, he would need almost all other so called vault specialist to make a major mistake to have a chance to medal) they chose to not compete for that.
