Why didn't FedEx deliver my package on the estimated date?

I have a pair of shoes that had an estimated delivery on August 30, 2008. FedEx didn't even update the information on the tracking of the package ever since the first day of the placement of the order on August 26, 2008.

FedEx doesn't always deliver on Saturdays.

I think it costs the shipping company extra for it to be delivered that day. At least that's what I've heard.

As for no tracking info, that's unusual. Give their 800-number a call and try to find it.

~~I had this happen once with UPS too. Sometimes they have truck problems, illness' etc. that mess up the deliveries is what they old me. They usually are very accurate but occasionally something unexpected happens. It will be delivered on the next business working day. It is hard when you are anxious for your delivery, but it's just one of those bummer kinda things.~~
