I thought McCain's speech was very moving, especially the parts about his time during the war. He seemed sincere in that moment.

However, I waited and waited for him to specifically say how he will help solve our economy and energy problems. All he said was drill, drill, drill, and that he would send people who had lost their jobs, many of whom are probably middle-aged, back to college. What?!!

It was like watching President Bush speak. All he seemed to focus on was the war and terrorism.

Are the Republicans really going to focus on terrorism and fear-mongering AGAIN?

  1. Obama didnt say either.  maybe that will be a topic in the upcoming debate

  2. Improving education at the community colleges, reforming unemployment that also helps to retrain and employ them at the same time for a job that will not go away. Use every type of new energy that we have.

  3. McCain thinks that the economy is sound. What more do you want from a man who owns 7 houses? I hope that you don't think that he can relate to anyone other than the have's and have more's, as Bush would say.

  4. Because he doesn't care.

  5. McCain is not bush. There is a 5% difference on their voting record. That should really tell you all you need to know.

Just because the guy is a hero, doesn't mean he is in touch with what the average american faces each day.

  6. because he doesn't know.

  7. b/c he wont.

  8. There was no terror and fear mongering in his speech. And I don't know about you, but the years after 9-11 were a reason to be afraid. That's why they resulted to "fear mongering"

And what about the democrats who claim that McCain will reinstate the draft, and will go to war with the  world, and send your sons and daughters to fight. Is that not fear mongering?

  9. Because he doesn't think our economy is in trouble and is completely unaware about our energy problems.

  10. Because he would do nothing different than Bush. More money for the rich and the oil companies is not a big seller so He avoids the subject.
