Why didn't McCain know his wife was an addict for over three years?

If he is that inattentive to the needs of his wife, how do you expect him tp be attentive to the needs of America?

How many mothers know that their children are dopers,or g*y,or that their husbands are addicted to p**n sites?It is easy to hide or explain away any conduct to people who just want to hear good things, and will believe anything that those close to them say.Usually every thing comes out. Then the excuses begin.

  10. McCain was too attentive to his career in politics which requires him to travel all over the country for long periods of time as well as his required time in Washington D.C. I can understand his not knowing and although I am an Obama supporter, I sympathize. Another point that needs to be brought up is this, addicts are just that, addicts and they learn to lie and hide things real well. He probably missed the signs like most people who have a family member that is an addict.

It is amazing to what great lengths an addict will go to hide their addictions and get their drugs.  She became addicted to pain pills after surgery and had no history of prior abuse.  It is not a drug that has detectable signs when you are addicted like meth or heroine or cocaine. A person can have this addiction for years and even their entire life and never show signs.

    Where as Cindy crackhead McCain needs to look up style in Vogue.

  13. He's ambitious.  His political career is more important to him than his wife's well-being.  I am surprised you didn't know that.

  14. Addicts are extremely clever at hiding their addictions, and that's got nothing to do with the attention that a person pays to them.

    As someone who's researching the life of someone who was wildly addicted, I can tell you first hand that out of the 80 people I've spoken with, only about 4 knew there was a problem.

    Thankfully, the needs of America are rarely that well hidden.

  17. Most people don't know their loved one is an addict (of any kind) right away, and my never know.  Some people are very good at hiding their illness.
