  1. ...Because when MJ changed his mind and came out of retirement, the teams he played for handled the situations with some class and welcomed him back rather than pushing him away like the Packers pushed away Favre.

The way the entire Favre situation was handled was the most ridiculous personnel situation I've ever seen in any sport.  It would be one thing if Aaron Rodgers started 8 games last season in Favre's absence and went 7-1 or 8-0 as the starter, but Rodgers hasn't even played yet and the Packers still kicked Favre to the curb like they've got someone better to replace him.  Unbelievable.

  2. What the he11 are you talking about? MJ retired the first time to go play baseball. He failed in baseball so he came back to basketball. The only other time I remember him retiring and coming back was when he came back to play for the Wizards, who he co-owned. He was one of the best players even when he came back. He didn't just have a lucky year. MJ didn't keep talking about retiring and then deciding he wasn't going to retire.

  3. Because when MJ retired the 1st time, Chicago Bulls welcomed him back (h**l they begged him to come out of retirement). He was the best player in the league and with the Bulls, made them one of the best team franchises in the NBA's history. When he unretired the 2nd time, this was to boost revenue and ticket sales for the Wizards (a team he co owned at the time). It did not matter if the people liked him as a person. The teams, NBA, and fans NEEDED MJ back in the league at both times. It reminded fans and the world that talent and skill can go hand in hand.

Now with Brett Farve, its a different story. The Packers wanted him to retire so they could reveamp their program and team as we saw with them deciding to quickly fill the starting QB spot. Upon Farve unretiring a month later, he only created hostility in the locker room amongst the team mates, coaches, owner and managers. Why??? Because the Packer were moving on with life. (Its not like they NEEDED Bret as they were not the best in the league with him there.) They devised a new plan and started implementing this to hopeful get their team back on track to the superbowl. And its not like he brought in revenue (I mean any true football fan knows that "cheeseheads" are one of the leagues most dedicated fans regardless of winnig or losing). And on top of that, Farve is not helping the publics view of the NFL's QB's. (most see them as over paid, above the law acting, cry babies who throw games when they can't get their way.)

Simply put, Im happy that Green Bay ousted Bret Farve. Let this be a lesson to all those greedy, power drunk athletes whom think they make the team.... YOU DON'T! So get over yourself, grow up and accept that you should play as hard as you can and leave when you can't play anymore (not when you are bored that your squad is not winning like they use to). Freaking losers Fahhhhhh Ver Ra

  4. Michael Jordan was a class act,Brett Favre is a whimpering Prima Donna that's being flip flopping for years on retirement

  5. Not any different?

Jordan retired for about a year and a half - Favre retired for all of about 5 minutes. When Jordan came back, he honored his contract with the Bulls rather then demanding his release or a trade. On his second comeback, he was no longer under contract to any team, and went where he wanted to. On both of Jordan's comebacks, NBA Stern did not get involved to the degree that Goodell did in Favre's case - Jordan was simply treated as another player. Jordan did not attempt to use the media to turn the fans against the Bulls in either one of his comebacks.

Simply put - Jordan came back with class, honoring his commitments, and basically keeping his mouth shut and playing ball. Favre came back with absolutely no class, no consideration for the Packers organization or their fans, and attempting to play the victim.

More simply put - Jordan came back behaving like a grown man, and Favre came back behaving like a spoiled 9 year old girl who was just told that she couldn't go to a Hannah Montana concert.

  6. because people like MJ more as a person, Brett Favre has no personality, just plays.

MJ was the best, and likeable, in movies, more talkative, an awesome celebrity

  7. Because Jordan was the only athlete that could win games by himself. Brett needs receivers and backs. oh- and a front line. besides-- Mikey has alot more money to grease the wheels of whatever he wants to do. Brett is a football god. they should have just let him have his walking papers, and go play for whoever he  wanted to-- not trade him to the WORST  team in the NFL.. if it was basketball-- and jordan got traded to the worst team, he would still win games -- remember the stint with the Wizards?

  8. Michael Jordan wasn't rejected by bulls

  9. it was a lot different because the Bulls unlike the Packers were willing to take back the best player in their franchises history.  I blame a lot of this saga on the Packers organization and if I were a fan I would be extremely upset.  The Packers aren't fielding the best possible team for their fans.

  10. MJ is and was the best player of all time and Brett Favre isnt

  11. MJ was a man about it and he still could play....Favre had one good season the last 5....he is grasping at glory straws right now...

  12. Everybody likes Mike

  13. It matters how you look at it. When Michael first came out of retirement, the first time, the team was always welcome to the idea of Michael coming back. They hadn't "moved on" like the packers have. The second time that Michael Jordan un-retired was with the wizards, when he was part-owner, so they really couldn't say no. Plus the wizards sucked back then and they needed the revenue. When is comes to Brett Farve, it looks like the Packers have "moved-on". So now he is a Jet. I think it is c**p though.
