Why didn't Obama mention Jesus Christ in his speech?

This I ask you! If Obama is a devout Christian, why did he not make any reference to our Lord and Savior in his speech? I am disgusted and outraged at this secular speech and feel he owes Christians and apology!

Well, today McCain added a Christian as his VP nominee. I am proud and happy to support a TRUE CHRISTIAN!

if you don't want to vote for Obama, that's cool but making that decision based on his not mentioning JC in a speech that had nothing whatsoever to do with religion doesn't make sense. It's kind of like asking why a priest didn't mention his tax plan in his Sunday sermon. Let's leave Jesus in church where he belongs and when it comes to electing our leaders, let's base it on what really matters.

Ha McCain a true Christian. All he ever says is that he is a Christian and never elaborates. I don't deny that Paulin is a devote Christian. Wait till McCain delivers his acceptance speech. I bet my nuts that he doesn't mention Jesus. Look at policy and what they stand for not what they "say" about religion. Look at George Bush he stole the conservative christian vote in 04. He is no more Christian than Penn and Teller. Everyone should have voted for Dennis Kucinich or Ron Paul now there are two men that could lead the country!!!

Don't christians believe in the end of the world..end times..etc.? Don't you think it would be a bad idea to give somebody who believes that the end of the world is inevitable the power of the President of the United States? That's a conflict of interest. It could be a self fulfilling prophecy.

Obama has stated numerous times that He is a Christian and puts his faith in Jesus Christ & he 'did' mention God several times throughout his speech! So get your facts right before trashing someone before you even take the time to figure out, 'The Truth' !!

not everyone is a Christian and goverment should not be influenced by Church

His speech is for the people.

Not all people are Christian, and some of them might be offended is he assumed that they all want to hear his opinion on "god."

He was being politically correct.

Obama's VP is an Irish Catholic.

I believe, if I'm not mistaken, "real christians" are supposed to be non-judgmental. Leave that part to your lord and savior.

You know some people name drop and when it comes to name dropping the name of Jesus then you may as well be using the name of Jesus as a cuss word.

Politicians name drop the name of Jesus just to suck in Christians and get the votes....... Actions speak louder than words.

Just because a person doesn't say Jesus doesn't make them a non Christian.

As someone who believes strongly in God I will say that I would really prefer that politicians leave God out of their arena. Politicians have men to thank for their positions - men who are paid vast sums of money and who have great power over the masses to help said politico attain his/her position. God is interested in our souls, not our earthly positions.
