  1. Because she knows that if McSame gets in office (doubtful), there will be no middle class, only the wealthy and the poor. Everybody seems to have forgotten about the "working poor" though.

  2. You can only say so much in a short speech. The point of this speech was not to get into ALL the issues, but was her way of showing who she is to America.

We have lots of debates coming up, she can address ALL of that stuff at the debate.

Why didn't Obama explain in detail how he plans to pay for his socialist healthcare plan in his speech? I didn't hear him give a good explanation of that and THAT is part of his platform. So far his explanation has been, "we'll tax the rich." Thanks Robin Hood! That will solve all our problems! Get real.

  3. Bush's speech writer also wrote her speech last night with Karl Rove's approval.  That should tell you something.

  4. Because she could care less about those things.

  5. Obama talked about all these things, but SAID NOTHING.  Just wait for the debate when the Republicans offer up clear plans of attack on these things instead of just paying empty lip service to them like Democrats always do.

  6. No, Republicans believe that everybody should pay for all health care and education out of their own pockets, and that if you can't afford this, it's your own fault and you don't deserve any help.  As to the middle class - the Republicans only see two classes:  theirs (wealthy thieves) and the servants who wait on them.

  7. Because the GOP doesn't care about the middle class.  They are only interested in lining their pockets and the pockets of their closest friends.

  8. McCain will talk about issues tonight when he makes his acceptance speech.  Palin was supposed to be introducing herself last night and accepting the VP appointment.  Nobody at the Dem convention said much about issues either until Obama gave his acceptance speech.

  9. I waited all night to hear all the things that I think matters but none came; and the audience were unbelievable they did not allow the woman to say much about truth, or be honest about anything at all; as soon as they hear the last sentence they get up and start clapping, is this a Republican thing or what; such a shame you can't pin the woman down to any point; what a waste of time and money! I still don't know what she stands for, at least we know what OB is on about.

  10. BECAUSE NONE OF THOSE ARE THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENTS JOB, YOU MORONS.

The Dept of Education was established in the 1950's and American kids have gotten stupider ever since.

Health-care is the best in this nation, there is more research and innovation here than in all other countries combined. If you give that over to the federal government that will disappear and hospitals will be run just as well as any other federal bureaucracy, horribly.

What other mindless BS were you talking about oh yeah the economy. Once again the US had the greatest economy the world had ever seen, in the few short years this nation has been around we have contributed more invention and innovation again than all other countries combined. Then the federal government took over, established the federal reserve bank giving control of our economy to private bankers and creating atrocious monetary policy that has forced corporations to move operations abroad and has crippled the middle class.

And you want the federal government to take more control of it, do not see why we think you are stupid?

AND IT ISN'T THE VP'S JOB TO SET POLICY, PHUCKIN IDIOTS.

  11. No, they don't. That's why they want to give out school vouchers, keep health care privatized, and give tax cuts to the megawealthy.

  12. wow thats bullshit last week they talked about what obama didn't address.first she did right she can't talk about what she don't know about .second mccain writers didn't write it in her speech.i cant wait to debate she is going to get her *** ate threw .i think as a woman it is insulting for mccain to pick her it flat out wrong and women who feed into this **** shame on you ..HE IS USING HER TO PULL WOMEN VOTE AND IF YOU PLAN TO TEACH YOUR DAUGHTER THAT IS HOW YOU GET AHEAD THEN ,YOU SHOULDN'T BE THE ONE TO CAST STONES ON A HOOKER,STRIPPER BCZ SHE LET MCCAIN PIMP HER OUT.REALLY ARE WOMEN THAT STUPID THATS ASHAME,ITS DISGUSTING AND SHOW HOW WEEK MINDED WOMEN CAN BE.OH AND FOR THE ONE WHO SAID SHE MIGHT BE SAVING THE REAL ISSUE FOR DEBATE I CALL BULLSHIT AGAIN THE ONLY THING SHE SAVE IS THAT SAME OLE SPEECH SHE HAVE BEEN  GIVING FOR THE LAST COUPLE OF WEEKS ABOUT THE BRIDGE TO NO WHERE .DON'T KNOW ABOUT YOU BUT SHE GETTING ON MY NERVES WITH THAT SAME OLE BULL WHO WRITE HER SPEECHES BRISTOL?LOL

  13. Because she was making a great speech to introduce herself to the nation. Obama had a chance to make a great speech last week and he decided to just give a campaign speech. She has plenty of time to gives us the points of all her plans between now and November. The purpose of last night's speech wasn't for her to lay out all of her views.

  14. Because their idea of our welfare only concentrates on the war and drilling.  I was really hoping for more from them, but what can I expect!

If Palin is such a good running mate then why is it when your children are a direct reflection of the parent she couldn't even manage to control her own kids?  I guess McCain thought that would relate to all the little people he seeks to control, well I think that goes to show you what an a$$ he really is and how hard he is trying to act more like Obama in being more relate-able, NOT GONNA HAPPEN!

McCain/Palin- we should just put them out of their misery now!

Obama/Biden 08'- For the "real people"

  15. Should she address EVERYTHING all in one night?

Why are dems so short sighted and want to take away the freedoms of this country?

  16. Well to be fair she along with other spokespersons did border on these subjects but they were secondary issues. The overall picture was the same rhetoric that Republicans have always sponsored, ie; strong military and corporate wealth.

When mention of health care came up, they were promoting preventative health care; eating more wisely and healthier lifestyles and health insurance from a private sector. Higher education were for all Americans to pursue if that is their goal (that one is always mentioned by both sides) The fast declining middle class were those who make up the majority, and she erroneously compared herself as having the same concerns as them all.  Did she ever have to worry about making ends meet by where the next mortgage payment would come from or have to work laborious hours or worry about putting gas in her vehicle, or wondering how she would have to pay for her medical and medicinal needs and/or big premiums and high drug costs.   These are all the basic issues that the majority are having to deal with in this recessive society, none of which affect her personally.  Ofcourse she claims that McCain along with herself as VP will  solve all these problems.

  17. Didn't you hear?

Those things are insignificant, what's important is making sarcastic comments about Obama's hard work as a community organizer 20 years ago.

  18. Yeah, she should have talked about aiding illegal immigrants, amnesty,  raising taxes on middle class, government control, less choice, baby killing, and other lib priorities.

  19. Because she would have to admit that republican policies have been complete failures.

  20. They stick with family values, taxes, and 9-11.  Notice the pres and vp didn't make appearances?  They don't want to draw attention to the dismal record of their anointed ones from the past 2 conventions.  Do you trust the judgment of these people?  I sure don't.

  21. of course not...all they care about is upper class america and immature bantering

  22. Maybe she's saving it all for the debates. Of course Republicans care about these things!

  23. Because she is a politician they have a plan of attack and that wasn't in their plans last night they will use that for when the Dem's attack with what ever dirt they find on her that hasn't already been told all any of these politician care about is your vote to get elected and then he or she with the most money and power wins while we all just keep on working and paying our taxes for stupid pet projects that get us nowhere fast point is politicians are politicians

  24. She will. This was basically her first time speaking, she was trying to show the incompetence of the other side and show that McCain is the best candidate, which she did. Besides, this isn't an arguement you want to have between the parties. Obama has not said a single plan for anything, just empty words. Stay tuned for more reasons not to vote for incompetence.

  25. I agree health care didn't come up, but her statements regarding her activity in the PTA in an attempt to make her kids' public education better shows that she believes it needs to be improved.  She didn't discuss her policies on it though.  And she did identify herself as a middle class family going through alot of the same things lots of middle class families go through.  I thought she did very well and she had a lot of things to cover.  McCain will go over his plans for lots of these issues tonight.

  26. She addressed the issues that she needed to address which was attacks on her experience. She will have plenty of time to address these issues. Your obviously a democrap that is trying to find fault in a perfect speech. I love to watch you liberals squirm. Didn't' see that one coming did you? You thought Obama was a shoe-in didn't you? Oh how wrong you are!!!!

  27. She was too busy telling lies about Obama, Biden and herself.

  28. Debates are where you discuss the middle class, health care, and education. Not acceptance speeches.

  29. She did, where were you.  If by talking about "healthcare" you mean socialized medicine, nobody outside Obama and Hillary thnks that is a good idea, if by "education" you mean making college free to everyone, what a joke... who do you think will end up paying for that?  If by "middle class" you mean the myth that it's shrinking, understand that the middle class will always be the same size, it can't shrink, the parameters might change which define it, but, it doesn't shrink.

  30. no they do not care anything about that kind of stuff. all they care about is the war, terrorism, big company tax breaks, oil and keeping their own pockets full. Palin didn't mention any of that because as she admitted before, she does not even know what a vice president does.

  31. Because she can't speak on things she knows nothing about - let's not forget she is a republican after all!!
