Why didn't Tom Brokaw mention the U.S.S. Liberty?

When he was on the David Letterman show last night

Tom Brokaw mentioned all sorts of things that were going

on four decades ago--LBJ deciding not to seek reelection,

knee-grow strife, all manner of things but he didn't make

even the briefest reference to a U.S. Navy ship in the service

of the NSA being intentionally attacked by Irgunistani

Degeneracy Force terrorists and 34 servicemen murdered

and the attemped murder of all on-board.

WHY, IT WAS ALMOST CONSPICUOUS BY IT'S

ABSENCE!

Let's hear your theories on why good old "trusted news source"

Tom would neglect to mention such a shocking and offensive

thing while maundering on about what was going on

four decades ago.
