Question:

Why didn't hippies get split ends?

Of all the pictures I have seen of hippie men and women, boys and girls, with long flowy hair, they usually don't have split ends! What the h**l! But my hair is chalk full of them, and I use good shampoo and conditioner, and blow dry it, and take care of it...and it's only a few inches past my shoulders.

I mean, they were known for going days without bathing, how did they do this?!

  1. Oh they did! However you won't be able to see them in pictures!

  2. I have no idea, but I have long hair and have NEVER had a split end. Maybe the blow drying??? I don't know. Maybe it's just your hair type.

  3. Believe me, they did!  They were a dirty, scroungy lot.  I am glad that horrible era is over.

  4. Well one reason is probably because you're blow drying it, which is very damaging to your hair. Also you need to get it trimmed frequently to get any dead ends off, it will also grow faster this way.

  5. Because they were too busy splitting hairs with the establishment.

  6. Idk I guess they cut it themselves.  I dont know much abouit hippies

  7. its the 60s, anything is possible . . .
