Why didn't my dui show up on two different background checks

on two different background checks my dui did not show up is there a reason why it didn't show up its only been three years ago

This depends on the type of background check that was done.  Most online background checks are inaccurate.  A true criminal background check has to be conducted at the local level of the subject (every place the subject has resided and visited).  Hiring a private investigator to conduct a background  check is usually the best option for an accurate background check, but even they sometimes don't do accurate checks.  I always ask my clients exactly what type of background check they are requesting and for what purpose the background check will be used.  The FCRA and local state laws regulate background checks, so this is an important factor to consider.
