Why didn't my fry bread turn out?

I tried to make fry bread last nite. It didn't turn out at all. It was dense & heavy. It tasted like a pancake to me. Did I have the oil too hot? Knead it too much? Help???

I thinkyou had the oil too cold, and the dough may have been a little too thick.

It sounds like you added too much flour. make sure to follow the recipe next time.

you probably didn't follow the recipe. wrong measurements maybe. it happens to me.
