Maybe they did, but given the history of McCain's short fuse do you think he just told them to go **** themselves while throwing a desk across the room?

  1. she great not complaints here, we will win! vote for Obama 08!

  2. No reason to  because our VP has more experience than the Democrat presidential nominee.

  3. Given the excitement and enthusiasm of the conservative base over the pick, they wouldn't want to do that.

She is just the type of pick they wanted.

  4. Why should they? his VP pick was brilliant.

  5. I think it's a great pick. She has traditional conservative values and a record of bucking established politics.

Her experience may be thin but after studying her record Obama's is  even thinner.

    Obama, talks the talk.

    Palin, walks the walk.

  6. because we're happy with it. Stop listening to CNN

  11. I would enjoy that show, it was his choice and he made the right one.

  12. They did, he wanted Lieberman.

  13. They have no say whatsoever. No more than the DNC had in Obama picking Biden. I'm sure there were forces in the democratic party who wanted Hillary to be picked.

When a candidate wins the nomination they're essentially the leaders of their party. All fellow party members can do is lobby on behalf of a pick. They have no authority.

In this case, I think a lot of GOP members just liked the idea of McCain picking someone more conservative than he is, to quiet talk radio and the blogosphere. To oppose a vp pick would mean publically revolting... which would doom a candidate. And no GOP member wants that. It's why McCain didn't pick Lieberman. He figured there would be a revolt.

  14. they saw the logic of the move

  15. You a little jealous we're the non-sexist ones?

  16. I hope Mcain croaks on his first day in office so a we can have a real conservative for prez.

  17. He spent more time vetting his choice than Walmart takes to hire someone.

It was a panicked and desperate move that I'm sure he didn't even tell the party about.

And what is with the weird faux-unity from all the neocon posters here? There's a reason you people were called sheep.

  18. They did not try to change his V.P. pick because he made a great choice. I think  the voters will prove him right.

  19. One look at the credentials of this candidate and they had to agree that she is what this country needs, a true patriot.
