When they moved, they ended such a great rivalry in baseball. Between the years 1921 and 1956, there were so many great Subway World Series matchups against the Yankees.

  1. BEcuase they was more $$$ in California at the Time

Orginally the Giants were not going to move to San Francsico, but the owner of the Dodgers insisted to keep the rivalry going

The Owner of the dodgers talked about a growing Area in california where you can get a lot more fans and money.

But some of the hardcore Giants and Dodgers Fans say that there is still a rivary between the Yankees

To this day, there are still people that think this whole thing was The Dodger owners fault

    But For me

    I am happy it happend

and should Padre and A's fans becuase they might have not exsisted

EDIT: The Owners Name was Walter O'Malley, who is being inducted to the HOF, Congrats to him

  2. O'Malley saw the great potential of the West Coast and convinced the Giants owner to follow him out to California. I doubt I'd be a baseball fan if NY still had 3 teams, since my family became Dodgers fans back in 1958.

Obviously  O'Malley was right, since moving to LA, no one has had more fans spinning the turnstiles than the Dodgers

  3. there's still the potential 4 "Subway Series" bet. Yanks & Mets

  4. At the time, NYC (Harlem, Brooklyn) brought ¢ whereas California held promises of $$$.

    Easy choice, really.

  5. That simple because Mr.Robert Mosses did not care for baseball  he cost the Dodgers to leave.
