Why didn't the Illyrians record their history?

albanians who claim to be descendant of Illyrians well why didn't they record their history.if they were a great empire as albanians said it would be more often told by other different groups of people.was it destroyed by a natural disaster or destroyed by like an empire.why didnt they record their history

  1. Ha Ha, Albanians also claim that Alexander the Great was Albanian! I would not take anything the Albanians say seriously! Illyrians do not really have descendants because they were conquered and wiped out by the the fusion of the Roman way (i.e. they're women gave birth to non-Illyrian children that theyw ere eventuallywiped out)


  2. Much of it was destroyed by time and invasion.  That area of the Balkans has experienced much turmoil in the last few thousand years.  The Illyrians you are refering to (I believe, you're kinda vague) were conquered by the Roman Empire.
