Why didn't the McCain camp just introduce Palin as a 'Grandmother to be' instead?

It wouldn't have been an media story at all, it would have simply been a foot note if they had been upfront about it.

Why let the first national story of your VP be this?

McCain camp had to know this would happen if they didn't announce this upfront

I would have liked that just the same...

In short... Nothing that has happened blimished Palin.  In fact, it only strengthens her in the eyes of the GOP.... This woman is like a rock star for the Republican party...
