  1. who were they going to trade?  Their two biggest prospects are "untouchable".  Heck, they wouldn't trade F-Mart for Santana.  At best, we could hope that they traded Castillo.  That guy is a waste of life at second.  Notice, they get him last year, the slump starts.  He goes on the DL this year, next thing you know we are in 1st (ok, second today -- but still not 7 back.)  


  2. Because they don't really need one. true, they are having some problems now because everybody is injured, but when the injured come back then they will have too many.  

  3. the mets are tight in a dvision race so getting or getting rid of a player might mess it up

  4. Because they're happy with the team the way it is.
