Why didn't the republicans take advantage of their majority with a rupublican president?

All I hear are you whiny republicans complain about the inaction of the current congress. Why? You guys had a republican house, senate and president and you guys drove this country into the ground. You blame the current congress for not doing anything, but it is your republican legislators who filibuster EVERYTHING (And I seem to remember you guys whining about dems filibustering. Are you all just hypocritical or the types that take their ball and go home when they don't get their way?

I'm a Republican, and I totally agree.

Republicans had every opportunity to do the right things and push conservative programs, but they squandered their opportunity.

This is why they weren't voted back into office in 2006.  I guess Republicans got sick of their lack-luster respresentation.

And the filibusters today are to stop a Liberal Congress from driving this country toward socialism, so more power to the Republicans.

Why didn't they allow a vote on drilling for oil?  That wouldn't have been filibustered, and it's what the majority of Americans want.  Why didn't the Democrats allow that vote???

Hippie congress has perhaps the lowest approval ratings in history. When hippy congress was mostly against the surge, Bush stood his ground surge proved to be a success. Even some liberals now admit that it was a success.
