useless? Britain could easily win every gold on the table but we let the others get them, Why is that? Are we ashamed of being the best?

  1. We still on about Mr Chambers here?

  2. The athletes get to go who do the work and win their events. So who exactly would you like to send in their place?  The people they beat?  Sorry - don't get your logic.

  3. Do you think Chambers would beat Bolt or any of the Americans?? No chance, even drugged up to the eyeballs he wouldn't come close.

Name some athletes who should have been there who would definitely have won a gold....go on....we're waiting.

  4. Our best athletes?  Who exactly are you talking about?  I personally believe we are not as good as we think we are.  Hopefully, 2012 might make us step up to the plate but we have long suffered from an over inflated sense of greatness - that I believe is the reality and lack of talent.

  5. If you are talking about the sprinter who has a lifetime ban imposed on him then,to a certain extent yes.I believe that we are the only country to have the "lifetime ban"rule. Is he the best we have?I don't know.Would he have won?I don't know that either. The only other person that I know of,that isn't going, and who could have won something,is Zara Phillips but,I think that is due to Olympic rules about not changing the horses.Apparently her horse was injured, she couldn't change horses,so she couldn't go.
