  1. they cast a lot of money

  2. good question - I know that the 100 equinox' that GM has around the country impressed David Letterman and Fergie (2 of the users) - and Honda had a new single tank one they showed at the LA auto show.

Oh, I know - Toyota doesn't have one - and the media is so pro Toyota and so anti domestic car makers that anytime someone else has a great product it gets ignored.

The idea of the Equinox fuel cell beats the snot out of the Prius - but of course it is perception and not truth that bears itself out in this society.

  3. I wonder why they don't say how many KW*h these cars use per 1 charge... Probably there is not much savings... Also refueling a car at gas station takes less than 5 minutes, comparing to 11 hours recharging... These cars are ok as "second commute car" for rich people. I cannot afford to pay insurance for "efficient electric car" and "reliable gas car" together. Hybrid is much more usable alternative.

  4. Hybrids are not good green cars.

Why?  Because of what it takes to produce them.  Factor in what it will take to dispose of the batteries every five years of usage.  Factor in the amount energy required to produce the heavy metals needed to manufacture all of the batteries needed for all of the hybrids.

I could go on and on, but the fact is, as far as green is concerned, hybrids are not a great choice.
