  1. Anybody who was *eligible* to be claimed as a dependent on someone else's taxes did not get the stimulus rebate. Sorry, but that's the way the rules were set up right from the start.

See more info at www.irs.gov. Just type "stimulus" in the search box.

  2. You must qualify, did you visit IRS website www.irs.gov and use the stimulus calculator ( you will need your copy of your tax return)?  did you call 1-866-234-2942?  Did you use IRS website "wheres my stimulus?

More than likely you don't qualify because of your income.

Visit IRS website for more information on stimulus rebates.

  3. If, when you filed, you checked the box that indicated that another person was eligible to claim you, then you are not eligible for a rebate, even if that person did not claim you.

  4. If you could be claimed as a dependent, or were otherwise ineligible for the rebate, you may still benefit under the plan.

While the rebate depends on your 2007 status and income, it is actually a rebate toward your 2008 taxes. According to the Economic Stimulus Act of 2008, taxes would be cut in 2008 from 10 percent to zero percent on the first $6,000 dollars of taxable income for individual taxpayers.

So if you have taxable income in 2008, you will see a tax cut when you file in 2009, if you don't get the rebate in 2008.

  5. Call the IRS they will tell you.

  6. Are you sure you are eligible? Enter your info at http://www.irs.gov/app/espc/start.do to check.

Check http://www.irs.gov/irs/article/0,,id=180... to see if it has any info for you. If it says it was sent weeks ago, then call the IRS to report that you never got it.

If you are eligible but efiled close to 4/15, or mailed your return after mid-March, or filed an amended return, or had anything on your return questioned, that would delay your stimulus check.

  7. If your parents claimed you then you will not get a refund. If they were eligible to claim you and didnt you still wont get it because they were eligible to claim you.
