  1. Did you visit IRS website to search your question, you do not qualify because of your age, and you were claimed as a dependent.

Visit IRS website www.irs.gov:  Keyword: Stimulus FAQ's

  2. Not everyone gets a stimulus check - you have to qualify.

If you are 17, you are almost surely a dependent of your mom.  So you wouldn't have been eligible to get a stimulus check.

Parents only get the extra $300 for kids UNDER 17.

  3. Dependents will not get the rebate. Your parents will not get extra for you as you are over 16 in 2007. You may get rebate when you file your 2008 tax return and you are not dependent.

For information on stimulus tax rebate read: http://taxipay.blogspot.com/2008/02/are-...

  4. 1)  If your mom claimed you, you do not qualify for a rebate of your own regardless of income.

    2)  If you were over 16 as of 12/31/07, you don't qualify your mom for the extra $300 either.

That is just the way the law was written.
