my female betta was finally ready to be released with the male today, (they have both been conditioned) and they started mating, but when the male wrapped his body around hers and squeezed, she never released anything.....
...she has the signs that she is ready, egg spot and stripes.
so, i just now put her back into a container inside the tank so the male cannot get to her, and i will try again tomorrow.
do you know what is wrong?
